1. This is ridiculous. End of story.
  2. This is ridiculous. End of story.......................................................................................................................................................................End of story. Thank You Charles Bronson

Relevancy is about more than one persons like or dislike. I'm not saying U2 is relevant or not relevant to Megan, or Steve, or End of story , or anyone in particular. I mean a mass of people. I don't think when most people say U2 is relevant or not relevant their not talking about themselves or one particular person. It's probably a large group of people. My guess is the ones that listen to the radio or buy music on regularly. I think End of Story doesn't get the point of this.
  3. What the hell happened in this topic?!
  4. Alright, back on topic. I wonder if Mercy will be on the new album since it is being released on the live ep.

    End of story.

  6. Don't think so. I think the reason they decided not to include Glastonbury, EBW, North Star and Stingray is because those are all on the new album. If Mercy was to be on it I'm sure it would've been left off too. Or rather, if it was to be on, they would've also had one other new song on the EP also that was meant to be on Songs of Ascent. I think U2 realizes Mercy is a live B-Side rarity that is from a different time/era of U2 and it's not something they feel would fit on an album that's coming out now.

that makes sense, but i still hope that u r soo wrong
  8. Mercy being first recorded in 2004, that would be weird to see it released on a 2011 record, don't matter how good it is.

    that's what I thought...
while we're on it: the prospect of getting a new U2 album with 4 or 5 songs we have already heard suddenly seems kinda weird....

I would prefer it if Mercy, Glasto, North star etc were released as an EP before xmas, so there is room for a completely new album to surprise and mesmerize us.

But hey, as long as there is a release to look forward to, I'm not complaining!

Well, most of us heard 30 seconds of each song on NLOTH over two months before it was released, and no one complained ... But I get what you say, and I more or less agree. They have played that songs in front of over 500.000 people, and they know that thousands more have listened/watched them thru the itnernet. The most logical thing would be releasing an EP containing studio versions of the songs, and not including them on the upcoming album. But there's always the lazyness...........
