    i was looking after documents about Moydrum castle, where U2's album picture cover was taken, and i saw this...
    quite strange, i think U2 knew the article when they decide to chose the name, if not, very strange...

  2. Wasn't The Unforgettable Fire named after an exhibition of artwork by survivors of Hiroshima?

  4. That's really interesting but strange, because they said it's called after the art exhibition, and it would be really a coincidence if they never saw that article before.

    Maybe they wanted to relate the cover (with the castle on it) to the title? I had no idea why that castle was put on the cover anyway, so that makes sense (:?), or is that a bit far fetched?
    ....
    Now that I think about it, those ruins on the cover and the city of Hiroshima totally destroyed by the atomic bomb: they do have something similar after all
