1. Hmm ... I don't think i've ever been drunk - don't think much of drinking for the sake of getting drunk. (Though most will say that's the point).

Also absolutely can't stand beer which probably doesn't help.

Did all you guys like beer from your first bottle/can? If it is an acquired taste, I don't seem to be acquiring it and I've tried pretty much the whole spectrum - or do you guys stop caring about the taste once you've drunk enough?
  2. Most people drink just for the sake of getting drunk. They think they have more fun when drunk. I started to drink alcohol only a few years ago, when I was 18 (most people in Spain start at 14-16), and I only drink what I like, in the amount that I consider prudent. Only times I've been more or less drunk is when I go out with my parents. Free drinks plus the safety of knowing you're not going to do anything stupid is a good thing

I only like black beers, specially Guiness. But beer is bitter and you obviously don't like it at first sight drink, so yes, is't an acquired taste.
  3. Drinking is a strange practice. It's still odd drinking 10 pints of beer one after the other. I wouldn't drink 10 cans of coke nor bottles of water.

It certainly would seem so, though paradoxically most people actually don't remember what they did the morning after.

I seem to have more fun when everyone else is drunk, it's absolutely hilarious what you can get people to do, plus you don't get hangovers - and don't spend ridiculous amounts of money on alcohol, most of my friends easily spend more than $100 on a night out.

Yea, beer is pretty bitter, I was wondering if there's a specific way to drink it, like there is with wine - such as not letting it sit on your tongue and just swallowing it immediately.

Funnily I find straight vodka easier to drink than beer

It is an acquired taste (one I acquired a long time ago) but it's not actually a requirement :-) There are plenty of other awesome things to drink. I bought some very nice Irish cider on the weekend (Magners). I don't drink with the object of getting drunk and haven't since I was a kid. It always seems like kind of a kid thing to do really. These days I much prefer to be able to drink steadily through the night, have a good time, know exactly what I'm doing and be able to get myself home safely.

I think beer isn't love for the first "sight" - But don't push yourself, maybe one day you will taste and fall in love, maybe you'll never like it: You'll see

There is one pub in Prague with Kozel from tank and it is one of the best beers I've ever had. And it is just a little over 1 euro (27 našich korun ).

  7. Beer was the only thing cold in the fridge

Didn't end up getting drunk, didn't plan on it either- just thought this was the appropriate place to check in
