stealing riffs is to Oasis as Apple Pie is to America. They just go together.

Let's All Make Believe is one of my favorite Oasis songs. Underappreciated

  2. Excellent post Sergio My all time favorite Oasis song by far.

Have you ever seen the version from Wembley where the crowd sings the entire song. Unreal

What??? The entire version? I mean, Noel and Liam don't sing at all??¿?¿ OMG, I need to hear that.
It isn't the version that appears in the Familiar To Millions album, for sure.
  4. They made some great music and I really like them but the voice of Liam is a bit annoying sometimes imo. I really like the voice of Noel better, and also the behaviour of Liam is really strange and arrogant. Bono also has that kind of behaviour sometimes but he only does it on stage, Liam does it everywere
  5. Yes. Oasis would work perfectly without Liam, both on stage and studio (and in the "normal" life too).

  6. Yeah maybe it would be better if he left the band and Noel stayed in the band.
Dunno if you guys know the concerts Noel gave at the Royal Alber Hall for Cancer Trust, he really shows there that he has a great voice.

    [YouTube Video]

I have a full concert by Noel solo, at the Point Depot (Dublin) on 1997-12-05..... Maybe the best concert I have by Oasis.

Noel Gallagher = best English composer and performer of the 90s
  8. Agree. He is going to make a solo album right? I really hope so..

  9. Dunno if I agree with you there - I certainly think he has a decent voice, but great? Hmm. I'm not sure. I much prefer his singing to that of Liam, but I don't think his voice is spectacular. But I agree with Sergio in that he's got to be up there as one of the great British popular music songwriters of the 1990s. His songs certainly hold up their place in the heart of British culture in the last 10-15 years.

  10. I think Noel has a "better" voice (i.e. more range than Liam) but Liam's voice has such a distinct quaility. I hate to do this (compare Oasis to The Beatles) but John Lennon's voice wasn't great - but is had such a wonderful quality/passion. I think the same can be said for Liam. And you gotta love his swagger. He's a true rock and roll star.

By the way, Bono's voice beats them all.

Yeah, apparently Rolling Stone said that if they had added Let's All Make Believe in the album they'd have given it 5 stars instead of 4. I also very much like Gas Panic.

I realy like his voice. There arent not many rockbands with singers who have a great voice. Bono doesnt have such a great voice imo, I dont really like the voice of Mick Jagger and of Bellamy (?) of Muse. But it isnt al about the voice, I like the most songs of Oasis, some songs of Muse and The Rolling Stones and I am on a U2 forum so you know what that I love U2
