  3. Red Hill Mining Town has NEVER been played live. Too strenguous for Bono's voice as he once said in 1987. 23 years on, I think the chances of Red Hill Mining Town getting played are very very slim.

    Yes, that's true. Still, one can play the same song in different keys, and adapt it to one's voice. Bowie has done this several times, with considerable success.

    For any song of U2's catalogue, there's a key in which Bono could sing it. C'mon B-man, please, surprise us.

    U2 also plays a lot of songs in different (lower) keys: SBS, WOWY,etc...
    Chances are 0,0000001% they will play Red Hill Mining Town, would be very nice though
  6. They could play most of their catalog if they REALLY wanted too. Red Hill hasn't even been on their radar as a song that was interesting to them. Even when they discuss their back catalog its not a song they mention. Heck, they wouldn't even admit there was a video for it for a long time.

    I always say this, anything is possible. But U2 playing this song live ever is VERY unlikely.

  12. I have to admit that I had to just listen to Scarlett to figure out how it went since October is my least favorite. It does sound nice though and I am wondering might it replace MLK? It would also work leading into Streets though too I think.
