so it's 09:20 here then, Eire is just one hour "behind" us here thanks Joe
  3. Man...they should play One Tree Hill more times...f*** awesome song!!!

About Scarlet...Bono's singing gave goosebumbs, and I loved the instrumental part, specially Edge's chords, but the hole Jay-Z stuff is so...

Anyway, great to see they touring again with this beautiful crowd
  4. Does anyone else think that this might be the best U2 tour yet? And yes I mean better than ZooTV, Popmart, JT tour, etc.

Think about it. The setlist HAS been consistent, which is one weakness, however every tour has been like that. ZooTV was even more consistent than this one. This tour we've heard them demo new songs, play oldies they haven't touched for years and years (or in Scarlets case, ever (except for the BBC recording)). The stage is incredible, the entire production is just amazing, Bono's voice is better than ever. the band are on fire. For me, this is becoming U2's best tour in history.

I can't really judge as it's the only tour i've seen live, but it's indeed a hell of a tour !

  6. Yeah same here, but even if I had only seen videos of this tour and videos of older ones I'd still say this is the best one.

At the moment my favourite tour is the Elevation Tour, but 360 Tour is 2nd.
  8. at the moment Top 5:

    1. Elevation
    2. 360
    3. PopMart [A better setlist than 360, but it was visually poor and ridiculous]
    4. LoveTown
    5. ZooTV

  9. It's my recording and unless you have downloaded a RAR file that someone else has repackaged - all the files are there as I have checked my initial upload to be sure when I saw your post

Seriously, play I Threw a Brick if you wanna break out the big guns. Not like that song wouldn't work now. Put it after SBS instead of that Walk On crap.

Yea, Scarlet is meh - Drowning Man is WAAY better - they should play that or 11 O Clock Tick Tock or even Party Girl.

Adding Jay Z certainly doesnt help - U2 should look to some of his other collaborations to see how to do rap + alt rock properly. Coldplay knows how to make it work:

And why are they still playing Walk On (And Pride!)

I mean seriously who wants to hear these songs? Do we really need to listen to both Elevation and Boots? Seriously if anyone gets to meet them please ask them to throw out Elevation as playing it just makes them sound stupid.

I still don't understand how they can drop Unknown Caller and Breathe and still keep these shockers in their setlist. How do they get the impression that people like Elevation, does anyone from U2 or management even check fan forums?

As for UV vs HMTMKMKM I am going to the 2nd Sydney show and HOPE they don't start alternating between these two as I like UV far more than HMTMKMKM.

That being said UV isn't as good as Zoo TV but it's still UV and Bono does a better job of it than HMTM which suffers when it doesn't have the whole glam rock/Macphisto/Pop Mart theatricality behind it as it just sounds weird.

Of course the simple decision would be to throw out crap like Elevation and do both (but they don't seem to be that smart).
