How do you get the impression that people don't like Elevation, do you even check live concerts?

Seriously, if you visit a U2 gig, you'll usually see the whole GA bouncing up and down and having fun during Elevation.

    There's your answer.
  2. really like Bono's changed vocal arrangements in Ultra Violet bring on Melbourne 1!! hope they play it!!

Right at ya! I think it's maybe their best tour ever
Small arena's, beautiful stage, fans close up to the band members and every night a totally different setlist with full of new and rare stuff.
You can't get any better then this
The band was in top shape, especially Bono even though his dad died during the tour.
It gave him a voice he never had before...
The songs were so full of power and energy, so much emotion
  4. Ehm... I was on about the song, not the tour...

  5. I blame yeah for letting me post this

That doesn't stop the fact that it's a stupid song, im sure people would have no problem dancing to something else if they had the chance - Discotheque for example.

Elevation might be understandable since it's a crowd mover but why play Pride? People don't dance to Pride and the fact that they've been playing it non stop for ages makes it lose all meaning. Same with Walk On - they have far better songs - Miracle Drug, Stay, All I Want Is You, If God Will Send His Angels, Velvet Dress.

  7. Sorry, Vertigo is my least favourite tour (not counting October and before). I don't like those 10 minute speeches and all those HTDAAB tracks in the set.
  8. so... is there a show going on right now? looks like I missed the beginning once again.... damn work

They are still playing Pride because it's one of their most well-known songs.

With the other songs that you mentioned I think they should be playing Discotheque instead of Crazy Tonight and All I Want Is You instead of With Or Without You. Stay/If God Will Send/Miracle Drug/Velvet Dress could be in a rotational slot replacing In A Little While

    A - men.

I seriously dislike the song itself, but the audience reaction uses to be among the best (only surpased by I Will Follow, Streets and... and that's all).

On a different note, performing a forgotten-for-29-years-and-only-performed-once song like Scarlet maybe means that not all my hopes for Like A Song are lost... Doesn't it?
