  10. There's plenty of snow here in the UK and it's lying too. The news says not to go out, unless you really need to!
  11. Is "To lie" the verb that's used where the snow begins to actually grow upon the ground? I though it was To settle...


  12. both, I use settle but i don't see a problem with using 'to lie'.

    EDIT: actually i would use "lie" for the long term, "that snows being lying there for weeks"
