  3. Well for ya man

    Went into a shop today in the city, they said it sold out in minutes. Pity I had exams last week Ah well, not the end of the world
  4. And yeah, how many of these are there REALLY? I know it's supposed to be 5000, but someone's got #1, and someone's got one numbered higher than 5000.

    Depends on if you believe Universal Music's statement I suppose.....


  6. It's not really a matter of belief if there's a No. 1 and a No. > 5000

    They've no reason to skip any numbers.

    Didn't they say a few hundred got damaged during manufacturing so the scrapped them and reprinted them starting from 5001 . . . .
  8. Well their statement makes some kind of sense.

    But it is weird. There are only 5000 copies. They could have numbered them AFTER the check if they were OK. They could even do it by hand before they went into the truck
  9. that statement HAS to be bull ....
    how can they ruin 500 - 600 sleeves when they number them ...

    think about this .....
    they can press them, put them in a white sleeve, then in a printed sleeve, shrinkwrap them and get them in a box, without damaging the things .... and then they would damage these things when stamping ...

    no way ......

    actually, I still make vinyl myself, pressed by the same plant as U2 s vinyl ... record industry in haarlem, holland .. and I have seen the whole process from close by ... i really think its is a made up story, or excuse for selling more ....

    limited - sells ---

    even here .... convincing each other that they are really worth 100-200 dollar .... when minutes later someone else finds one for 10 dollars and someone else turns up with 5 copies .....

    According to http://wideawakein.eu/list there are copies numbered over 6400, so 1400 copies would be ruined? That's a lot more than hundred. Rather strange...
