1. Flamingo is just standard. As Alex said, it has every of the little things I dislike about The Klillers. Not good...
  2. I really like it, his voice is beautiful and strong

  3. it has been a shit year for music, truth be told.

i dunno though, i can see why people would dislike Flamingo, but i have major love for it, however irrational said love is.

it's uplifting, catchy, has some great lyrics in it and it has the sort of epic quality that i look for in music.

    Stronnnnngly disagree

The first half of the year was exemplary, it just all got forgotten about.

    The Black Keys- Brothers
    LCD Soundsystem- This is Happening
    Massive Attack- Heligoland
    High Violet- The National
How I Got Over- The Roots
    Transference- Spoon
I Liked It Better When You Had No Heart- Butch Walker

And those are just the ones I can think of...silly to write off a whole year's worth of music because some exceptionally shitty artists have ruled the charts.
  5. Heligoland and High Violet are both great i'll admit, and the new KoL album is pretty good, but i still think last year was far better in terms of quality, both in the charts and not.

but then again i'm not a big fan of the other bands you listed, so i'm bound to have a different opinion.

Fair enough, you have a point as well. I feel like 2009 was more consistent, too.
  7. Jenny acoustic:

Not sure if I like it. I love the chorus but the verses suck long time...
  8. Last night I went to a pub called Independance Club where mostly indie rock is played... There was a The Killers+Kings Of Leon party and I was there only for an hour (had to come back home soon, exams and all), but it was great having the FULL pub singing along "It's indie rock and roll for me, it's all I need". It was a great moment, and the closest to a live The Killers experience I ever had. There were of course the previsible When You Were Young, Mr. Brightside, Human etc moments, but seeing a crowded club singing along to a non-album song really touched me.

I wish they confirmed they're back together and just about to make an extensive world tour!! I want to see them live

That's pretty sweet Sergio! And I'd love to see them live as well, never have and I've been a fan since Hot Fuss! I always seem to find out when they're playing JUST too late. Like I'll say "The Killers must be on tour right now, let's check tour dates!" and I'll go to check them and the only date close to where I live happened like a week before. Shame.
  10. Things have been quiet on the Killers front lately, but we have had an interesting Killers-related conversation on the Album of the day thread and I thought it would be interesting to move it here. What's your favorite Killers album, and why? I quote myself from that topic:
