  1. So I took it upon myself today to investigate and research the absolute best version of Edge doing the Love Is Blindness Solo. I have looked and listened to many Love Is Blindness versions and noticed that the later the version the shorter the solo. So far I think the best one out there is the one played in Stockholm, Sweden on the 11th of June 1992. Here is a youtube clip of that version, but mind you, there are Audio boots out there that have so so much better sound quality...



    Please pay attention to the 4.12 - 4.23 bit of this video. It is where Edge nails the timing of that bit where the solo hits the highest pitch. I've studied many other versions and the Rotterdam performance and the Dortmund performance are also very good, but not as good as this one.

    There could be even better versions out there, but I think they can only be from a show (or shows) that were played before this Stockholm show, mainly the 1st leg of the ZOO TV tour. Since later version are mostly shorter solo's.

    The first leg of the ZOO TV tour isn't a very popular leg amongst bootleggers, there aren't many youtubes out there (if any) of this leg and it also seems that there are no soundboard-quality shows out there from this leg. Maybe there are great sounding audience boots out there that are worth checking out, but I don't know where to ***** So please, if any of you out there have any good quality LEG 1 Zoo TV boots, would you mind comparing this above mentioned bit in the solo of Love Is Blindness and report back here? I'm desperate to know what performance has Edge's ultimate solo ever...

    Thanks for the investigation on LIB- their stop in Sweden was a great one in 1992, and it's good to know that LIB was at its best this night

  6. Makes me weep a little inside watching this. Why won't he do stuff like this nowdays? We get the solo from Magnificent instead. Let yourself go Edge.
