1. Not much left to say about this man.

His memory will live forever, we love you John.

  2. nice tribute!

    Strawberry Fields, Central Park, right?

  3. Right. It is across the street from the Dakota where he lived and was shot. I hate this day and never listen to the Beatles or John on it.
  4. Also the fifth anniversary of my first U2 concert in Buffalo 12/9/05. Many great lennon/Beatles snippets that night.

  5. John and the Beatles are unforgettable!!
  6. 30 years? My god. What a musician, what a legend.
  7. Weird I came across this article today, really cool story about him and Paul McCartney http://is.gd/gD6QX

  8. I personally believe the opposite. I feel that the way not let the murder be the center of attention on this day is to access the truly positive aspects of one's life. In John's case, his music.

Though that's just me, so horses for courses (another way of saying "whatever works for you").

Still, I miss him today but life goes on. We love you, John.
  9. I still remember this day 30 years ago, I remember I felt very shocked although Beatles / John Lennon weren't the musicians I was listening to back then. I liked their music, but only really learned to appreciate it over the past 15 years or so.

I'm convinced that if John hadn't been shot in 1980, him and U2 would have crossed paths in some way or another. For instance, I'm sure John Lennon would have participated in Amnesty International's Conspiracy of Hope tour in 1986, alongside with U2, Peter Gabriel and the Police.
  10. JOHN LENNON
    "My Mummy's Dead"
    My Mummy's Dead
I can't get it through my head
Though it's been so many years
    My Mummy's Dead
    It's hard to explain
    So much Pain
    I could never show it
    My Mummy's Dead

written by John Lennon back in 1970

    " John is Dead"
    John is Dead
I can't get it through my head
Though it's been so many years
    John is Dead
    It's hard to explain
    So much Pain
    I could never show it
    Our John is Dead

    Re-Written by me 2010

All we are saying is give peace a change
