  1. Once they announce that their album "Man" will hit shelves, you know they're done. And that's what will be right. None of this new-age stuff (gag) that Bono promises in the next 3 years- give them awhile to really sit down and make the most reflective music that they plan on going out on, they'll release it proper, and their story will finally be completed.

    That's my dream right there, but I can't see U2 doing it that way. If they released an album called Man and "did it right", as you said, it would pretty much be the greatest thing they could ever do. That would be the perfect way to tie up there career. The reason I don't think they'd do it is because they're always looking for something "new", and "Man" would only remark on something they've already done (in a way). Then again, they did just release an EP with the same name as an EP from 1984, just with a different location in the name. So you never know! But yeah, ever since I found out about Boy, i've thought "well it only makes sense to call their final album "Man"".

    I think that is such a great idea and was rambling on to my girlfriend (who doesn't care nearly as much as me haha) a few weeks ago. The only problem is to me that once they release "Man" it almost has to be the end? What happens if they pull a Jay-Z, miss the business and want to record again?

    I would hope they could appreciate that being done is being done, capitalizing on what the Rolling Stones have been failing to realize for well over 15 years now.
