  1. i agree with everyone on the setlist issues/lack of challenging material (ie: pop/zooropa) but i have nothing more to add really... i've said it all before and i'm becoming so disillusioned with U2 these days its really depressing me.

none of the new songs they have played on this tour have excited me at all i'm sorry to say. they are all going in a direction that just doesn't interest me. still far too safe, no boundaries being pushed, predicable sounding etc.. and if they are a hint of the next album then its looking pretty bleak for me

something has to change soon or i'm heading for a divorce..

i actually made this video recently just to cheer myself up and remind me of the 'good old days'!

(i did post it in the fan made video section but i dont think anyone noticed)
  2. Ok, we're here, gate E, about 50 people here, theres a nice breeze

    I meant this year.
  4. That's a truly AWESOME video, Ric, congrats I don't agree with you on your disillusion on the current days of U2, but... Great video
  5. ^^ Then it's a no, they did rehearse it a few times but not appearance

  6. Haha, I meant that they rehearsed it before almost every concert during the European leg 2.
I know they didnt play it

thanks a lot! i dont agree with my disillusionment either and thats the worst thing about it!

is there any chance the vid could be added to the streaming videos section of the site? who should i ask?
  8. I have added it now, give it a few minutes to appear on the site
  9. brilliant thanks mate!
  10. Sigh, waiting is fucking boring

    Anyone else at the show?
  11. Sorry guys didn't really make it clear I would be there last night. I am just returning to earth now. RE-ENTRY!!!

Absolutely mind blowing!!!! Bloody brilliant show. Sound was awesome. A few bumps from Edge during Stuck in a moment but apart from that excellent stuff. The boys really tried moving away from the usual song length last night, just with varying extensions to solos and end of songs (eg. 'ring those bells', typically from 'I will follow', in middle of 'Until the end of the world' just before 'in my dreams...'!)

Bono's voice is only getting better. The high note in Sarajevo was full voice - it first appeared he only took half a breath for the whole phrase, I was getting worried but still pulled it off. It was real hard work. That in its essence is why he is worth the money musically as equally as he is a showman.

Yes the GA queue upon entry was a mess I don't think a single bag would have been checked properly. I nearly freaked out completely when the guy in front decided to have a second go of scanning his ticket which stuffed up mine and I had a very unhappy crowd behind me as a result. Highly embarrasing!!!

I was GA - smack in the front/middle, inner circle, against the b stage fence - so you could imagine how good my photo of the stages meeting in UTEOTW turned out - amazing!!!!

I have just managed to get a ticket for tonight's show - seat right of stage. I am happy about this merely just to hear Ultraviolet (I hope), missing it last night - end of HTKK was still mind blowing though.

    Peace
