  3. As far as Ultraviolet goes, I'd definitely interpret the song as "You know I need you, to be strong" since the following lines are "Feel like trash, you make me feel clean" and "I'm in the black, can't see or be seen".

    I think it's Bono saying that he needs this other person in order to be strong and when he is feeling one thing, the other person make him feel something else, something better. So it's I need you in order to be strong myself. (I need to have you around me so that I can be strong)
