Television crews were/are usually allowed to film 3-5 songs. So yes, I think they stopped filming. It's not so much a question of knowing about how important a gig might be but a question of copyright and filming rights.

This is what bothers me, because it's such an important moment in U2 career, last Rotterdam LoveTown concert was more important but I don't know if that was even recorded or is in good enough quality.
