1. Boss ME-25

Gonna spend most of the day tomorrow fiddling with it, try get some nice delays and stuff figured out

  2. Looks cool! That's one of the processors that I was considering this year. The "Freeze" function sounds really cool, I'm going to try to replicate it w/ delay on the 500 tomorrow. I know that I got a very similar sound before with my RP250.

Yeh yours is sweet too man, looks really cool Yeh loads of people said the freeze was hard to use but I got it just fine I need to study my delay stuff, no idea what they mean by dotted 8ths an stuff
  4. Also, what's compression?

I'd love to take a minute to brag... it's incredible. There is one factory setting called "Sci-Fi" that I will definitely use it in at least ten songs. I'll try to find a demo...

Yeah, it looks very simple to handle. However, you should always keep in mind that most people are stupid people. DigiTech doesn't really use the system of actual notes, it uses milliseconds or seconds. However, dotted eighths are just notes from a bar of music. For example, in a four-beat measure, there are four whole (or "quarter") notes (duh). That said, there are eight eight notes, sixteen sixteenth notes, two half notes, etc. Very simple once you get the hang of it.

To be honest, I'm not 100% sure. I know that it has something to do with limiting your volume, cut-off point, and things like that though. I remember reading somewhere online that Edge used a compressor in every early song.
  6. So a quarter note is a crotchet and an 8th is quaver and dotted 8th is a dotted quaver If they said that at the start I'd be ok lol

And thanks for that compression link
  7. Compression makes your quiet notes loud and your loud notes quiet. So you will have more or less the same volume for every note that you play. Very useful, especially for bass and drums, guitar not as much, but can be good if you know where to put it.
  8. anyone know during Stingray Guitar if edge is just playing the main riff on the top string only (open and on 3rd fret) or if he is playing it on the top 3 strings like this
    ----2-------------5------
    ----2-------------5------
    ----0-------------3------

ive watched a few clips on utube and i cant really tell by looking at his hand
  9. I'd say he just plays the E string. At least that's how I play it, and it sounds right.

Yeh I think it's only the E string, just with heavy distortion. Definitely doesn't look like power chords anyway
  11. Holy shit, just got Streets pretty damn right I think.. Wow
