1. For good reason. I'm no Kanye stan, but his latest release is fantastic. I've listened to it about 10 times since I got it.

  2. Is it really that good?

  3. I think so. He's moved well away from straight hip hop/ R&B into some really interesting experimental stuff. And the writing is smart - most of the time anyway. Any album that opens with a riff on a Roald Dahl story gets points from me. Best tracks, IMO: Runaway, Monster, Blame Game and the lead, Dark Fantasy.

    I'll pick it up then.

  5. Maybe have a test listen first. Like surrealism, this isn't for everyone. I have a high tolerance/enjoyment of weird, meta and self-referential, so this appeals to me. YMMV.

The weirder (for music) the better. Pink Floyd's really early stuff appeals to me - like that's trippy-sounding in itself. I'll be getting it then.

It honestly couldn't be any worse than any of the other crap out there.

From what I've heard it doesn't appeal to me. I don't know the song titles, but I don't like the "Can We Get Much Higher" song and the "F**king Ridiculous" song.
  8. Replying to this topic: My other favourite musical artists are Prince and David Bowie.
  9. David Bowie!
  10. Böhse Onkelz, Rammstein, Green Day, Depeche Mode, AC/DC, Metallica (the earlie Times), Manowar, Accept and U.D.O, Robbie Williams, Take That and Fury In The Slaugtherhouse (pity, they are gone ).

A crazy mix, I know. But it is so.

Ohhhhh, I forget my Shane MacGowan - The Pogues and The Popes
  11. The Smiths are now tied with U2 for my favourite band.
