1. I saw the first movie with school at the age of 11, then I started reading the books and immediately fell in love with it Once you start reading, you can't stop and the problem was that the books were almost always released in december in my native language (as far as I can remember): exams month at high school: not a good combination
  2. Think I'm a bit older than most of you but I've loved those books too; and the films since Azkaban also (first 2 are kids films really). Thought book 5 was lazy writing but she really picked it up for Prince and Hallows.

    And I read Phoenix, Prince and Hallows in 2 days (each), it's perfectly possible

    I also read the last three in about 2 days. Got them at midnight and only broke from reading for necessary eating and sleeping breaks

    class man
  5. That is too much. I've read them (last 3) in a week or so but didn't read more than 6 hours a day or so... I found the time to meet my girlfriend and friends for some nights, and to recover from the New Year's eve hungover
  6. Potter is fantastic. Started reading them when the 7th came out. Use to make fun of all the Potter nerds before and then picked up the first book to see what all the fuss was about...I became hooked that summer.

    Re-read the 7th right before the movie came out and was just as thrilled the first time I read it. Hallows pt 1 was fantastic. the ending was insane and a great lead in to Pt2.

    I'm studying right now in Mexico and saw the Potter books on sale in Spanish. I'm contemplating reading book 1. I mean...it will help my Spanish and its a series I love.... so why not?
  7. I tried reading the first one in Irish.. Only knew what was going on cos I knew the book so well anyway
  8. Never been into this boy/man. I like Star Wars though lol

    DO IT!! It was the first book I ever read in English and it helped me a lot. I've read several of them in English since then, and I can ensure it's really helpful

    +1

    I read them in English as well. A great way to improve your language skills. Still I like HP books in my native language better.

    Fair enough sorry for the misunderstanding on my part.
