  3. watched Shutter Island yesterday, big head fuck like inception was. but both r great movies

I called the ending of Shutter Island halfway through the movie, couldn't get my idea for the ending out of my head, and when it all unfolded perfectly as I thought it would, I was STILL expecting some nice big twist which I never got. Fantastic movie with an open mind though...enjoyed it much more the second time around when I didn't have to worry about what was going to happen.

    On a side note, I want to see Black Swan very badly...perhaps I'll make it out to the theater next weekend, or perhaps I'll just wait for DVD.
  5. The last movie I watched was Life of Brian. Hilarious as hell! Also funny that there are some references to it in Bono on Bono, the book that I'm reading at the moment.

    yeh i was thinking about watching it a 2nd time for that same reason, had to concentrate a fair bit to keep track of everything

    pretty good, Depp's good as ever, it's too overly-CGI'd for my tastes though.


  10. its probably the worst movie I saw last year. Blurry awful experience.

    Last movie I really enjoyed was Duplex. Stiller rocks.
  12. Black Swan.

    Thought it was a fantastic movie, beautifully twisted and suspenseful...until the end. I anticipated such a shock, from what I'd heard, and I found myself severely disappointed in it. Sort of took a lot out of the experience for me.

    I will watch it again though, with a clear head not so full of expectations, and see if I enjoy it any more. It really is a good movie, just a bit of an anticlimactic ending.
