  5. Sarcasm is better quality in person, clearly. The compression is far too great over the internet, you can't hear everything as clearly.
  6. You all kept on complaining about me not keeping on topic, when now you have gone for far longer. What happened to deleting every post that is about the CD vs Vinyl thing? (these "jokes" count as being about the CD vs Vinyl thing because they reference it) Oh, I know it's because that rule was only for me. The rest can do whatever want, including ignoring things that are on topic. Completely insane.

    Now, anymore reports on the vinyls? Does anyone have a copy that actually plays Crazy Tonight?

    This discussion is out of this world.
    I happen to like the sound quality of most Vinyl over Cd, as so many albums have been mastered poorly. Now a great mastered cd sounds better than a great mastered Vinyl, but the compression and lack of care is what is ruining a lot of recent cd releases. I can't believe that Metallica allowed that last album to be released with such bad sound. Maybe all those years of playing loud shows ruined their ability to listen to what it sounds like. By the way, calling MJ's Thriller Piss-Poor is like calling U2's Pop Piss Poor...I won't stand for it.

    The Paul McCartney duet was supposed to be a corny no-frills first single to help the album build momentum for the Attack of the Super Hits of Billie Jean, Beat It, Thriller, etc. I only wish that the public's disdain for U2's Pop hadn't actually changed U2's opinion of it themselves, as Bono referred to it as a "Hangover."

    I still say Achtung Baby and Joshua Tree have better songwriting, but Pop was U2 with Balls. I love every U2 album, and love Horizon, but the pre-release banter of it being the greatest moment Eno ever had in the studio was comical. Horizon is fine, but as is typical of U2 lately...they abandon a great song like Breathe, and continue to play that BIG TURKEY of a song "I'll Go Crazy." It was actually a good Walk On Rip Off before they gave it the bad remix treatment. As much as I love Pop, "Crazy" never should've been remixed to sound like it came from it.

    I'm sorry, but if it's corny it sucks. Bille Jean, Beat It and Thriller are much, much greater songs.
  11. back to topic and my supplier will refund purchase price of the discs on return but has made no offer on the original shipping and return shipping. I want to keep the discs but have put to them as it is a manufacturing fault they must have known of the problem before selling therefore how about a partial purhase cost refund will keep you posted

    Usually when I have a defect or damaged product, the seller would only offer me back the purchase price of the disc. Had they known about the damage before, you should recieve all costs back as it's something you didn't know and weren't told of initally.

    Hope it works out for you and others too.


    Michael Jackson's Thriller...a piss-poor album?

    As a big fan, compared to his later work and Off The Wall, it's lacklustre. It's missing something, though the arrangements themselves are good.
