1. what are your opinions of the best video bootlegs out there?

i haven't downloaded one and i am looking to get my hands on some concerts to watch

    thanks
  2. Maybe you should try the new Paris Multicam? I haven't watched the whole thing, but what I have watched has been awesome Otherwise I'd say Santiago 1998 is strongly recommended!
  3. sweden 1992 with benny and bjorn from abba guesting is amazing and the croke 2009 multicam are 2 i'd recomend although if your new to torrenting be careful with your ratio.
  4. The best video bootlegs ever wouldn't be multi-cams from amateurs, even the ones that look like they were filmed by professionals.

Some of my favourites are: Los Angeles 1987, Stockholm 1992, Washington D.C. 1992 and Santiago 1998.
  5. Yes, they may be, specially if you consider the multicams use to catch the live feeling and the audience reactions much better than most proshots. But then, there's your thought of "Audience doens't matter, only music", which makes you prefer average proshots above awesome multicams like Zurich·II or París 2010...

If you haven't watched any video bootlegs, I suggest you to begin with these:

    1981-05-15 - San Francisco
    1981-11-04 - Berlin
    1982-05-14 - Hattem
    1983-05-30 - Devore
    1984-11-21 - Dortmund
    1987-11-18 - Los Angeles
    1987-10-09 - Syracuse
    1992-06-11 - Stockholm
    1997-06-03 - East Rutherford
    1998-02-11 - Santiago
    2001-10-10 - South Bend
    2005-04-06 - Los Angeles
    2005-07-10 - Paris
    2006-02-20 - Sao Paulo
    2009-06-30 - Barcelona
    2010-09-18 - Paris
    2010-09-12 - Zurich

    Good luck, enjoy

I think that those Zurich, Paris and Munich multi-cams from 2010 are not as good as the ones I listed in the previous post, but they are a whole lot better than any officially released live concert film since Slane 2001 and they're better than some of the pro-shot concerts you listed such as South Bend 2001 and San Fransisco 1981. So they're pretty much a job well done.
  8. I'd pick the Zurich multicam over LA '87 any day. The performance, the live feeling, the 'everything' is so much better. But that happens quite often, best sounding/watching recordings are not always the 'best' bootlegs. A bootleg is more than a high-quality recording.

No way, L.A. 1987 is one of their greatest concerts that was professionally filmed and it's from their live peak [1987-1993]. No 360 Tour show is anywhere near as good.
  10. Sorry, I miswrote that I wanted to say I'd pick Zurich II over Syracuse '87, not Los Angeles (I recommended both on my previous post). LA is an awesome concert (although I lack the audience sound, too), and I wouldn't ever deny that.

    Well, I agree with that.
Bono was injured during Syracuse 1987 and the crowd reaction's not so good.
  12. Syracuse rocks. Bad in particular is insanely good. I prefer it to LA.
