1. i'm trying to find the non-matrix soundboard version of the 8-13-92 show from East Rutherford, NJ...the version i'm looking for has some hiss in it, and i believe it's been called "Bright Lights, Big City" and "Under the New Jersey Lights..." any help would be greatly appreciated. the only version i could find here is the matrix- sbd/audience....again, thanks for the help!!!
  2. thank you very much......i saw that too- i should have specified in my posts that i was looking for mp3s.....anyway, thanks again
  3. ahhhh, i just discovered the world of torrents- i followed all the steps you guys listed here and it was a breeze!!! i was so glad to find this show- i had it a few years ago and lost a bunch of CDs....anyway it's great to hear this show again- i really prefer soundboards over matrices- audience ambience really doesn't do anything for me, but i know each person has their preference...to everyone who contributes to and maintains this site, keep up the good work!! !
  4. Thanks for the kind words, glad you finally found out your adored non-matrixed version

  5. LOLOL....thanks...it just goes to show how everyone has their own likes and dislikes when it comes to boots.....i myself would choose a good, clean soundboard or well-equalized IEM over a matrix or audience recording any day...this recording has some hiss when the songs aren't playing, but IMHO the sound of the instruments and vocals on this boot kick ass...

U2start, for me, is the best resource for U2 music that's out there...thanks again!!
  6. Congratulations to discovering torrents! I did so as well a few months ago and it's a great "world"!

Thanks for the positive feedback again, really glad you like the site.

Yes, opinions differ a lot. The other day, a few users and I were talking about the Sarajevo concert, have you heard it? Some of us say that it was an awesome show, regardless of Bono completely losing its voice, and some of us say it's crap, precisely because Bono loses his voice.
There are also strong&interesting discussions about audience/soundboard preferences very often, too. My favorite sources are broadcasts, no doubt; and then I prefer a very good audience to a very good soundboard. Simple matter of taste We're very, VERY lucky to be fans of a widely bootlegged band like U2, one of the few bands to have several sources for a lot of concerts.
  8. yep, U2 fans are genuinely among the most enthusiastic, dedicated, levelheaded and genuinely pleasant fans out there, from my own experience.

might have to give this show - and sarajevo (i've never heard it before ) - a spin, i've not given much time over to bootlegs as of late.

You are well and truly missing out.
  10. Sarajevo is a classic show indeed- definitely an example of an amazing audience......i should also mention too that i play guitar, so maybe that's a reason why i like soundboards and ALDs so much...sometimes i practice along with the recording....we are indeed lucky to have such a vast collection of recorded shows at our disposal (all sources)....the only thing i hope they do at some point is offer shows online to download, like Pearl Jam and some of the other bands out there.....i can dream, i suppose
