1. N8 is a great phone indeed

After Nokia dumping the N900 a few guys started a Community SSU, which basically means they will release updates for the OS. New MediaPlayer is on the planning, fixes in email client and desktop ----> Nice
  2. I honestly didn't know where to put this, but I thought the tech topic would be a cool place for it.

    Amazing story:

  3. One or 2 from a visit to a plush Spa Hotel.

Great in low light. No flash on this one, just point and shoot.

  4. All N8 shots? GREAT The Ferrari pic could have been better, there's a pretty lot of noise derived from the intense sunlight just in front of you. You could have forced the flash to appear, it would have helped.

I'm fiddling around with the camera too, there's a lot of options to choose from. I'm a photography nerd and therefore I lack some features, but you can easily get rid of its limitations if you know how to use the awesome photo editor included. I can't share my pics now but I will soon.

    PS. Sadly...

All the photos I have posted here have been taken with just default settings. I could rarely be bothered with fiddling beyond choosing 'close up'. The editor is fantastic if your way around it.

Didn't the flash automatically appear at the night pic? That's strange. Oh anyway, you should fiddle around with some manual settings, specially the flash and exposure; they don't require a lot of knowledge (they're pretty much intuitive), and the quality on your pics will dramatically improve.

Well I did disable the flash in that first pic. Exposure, ISO and sharpness etc I ignore.

Glad to here that the community are still keeping it alive. I may one day pick one up to fiddle around with.
  9. Well its getting 'dated' fast like every piece of technology. Only great thing about it is all the hacky stuff you can do with it.

If I had to buy a phone now it would be an Android. But i dont mind doing another year with this nokia

Android is always tempting. I get bored with it oh so quickly though. Still might pick up a tablet Android to avoid getting a second phone. Will be interesting to see where Android goes with the impending Oracle law suit.
  11. Worst case scenario is one pile of cash is going from 1 giant to the other.

Tablets are nice, i will save some money for a htpc / home server. I'll let the tablets mature for a year or two.
  12. I have a video on my phone that I took when holding it in portrait (top to bottom). When played back on the computer it plays side ways in landscape. Any programs that I can use to flip it the right way up?
