Originally posted by drewhiggins:U2 have some great B-sides and rarities and I'm sure up in the vaults somewhere there's stuff like Bulldozer that the band so wanted to release but didn't in the end for whatever reason - yet with all the outtakes and B-sides they have, they could easily put out the four albums they want to and more after that. Enough to take the catalogue up to 25 albums.
With any forthcoming records, instead of shoving every C-grade remix they can on the singles or as bonus tracks, a genuine B-side wouldn't go astray. Even if it's a cover - spend half a day in a studio or at least find something worthy from the sessions they're not likely to ever use again and pop it on the single.
Remember Neon Lights from the Vertigo single? It wasn't anything to rush out for, but it was a B-side that wasn't remixed!!! How about even an epic live track like Kite on the Window In The Skies single or even the good Zoo Station live version? That was worth the price of the single alone.
