I am not trying to pee on anyone's parade. I hope it's true that this is coming out. But it seems odd that no mention of it has been made until now, a mere 50-60 days before it's supposed release AND on the heals of the PopMart DVD release.
Again, it'd be great if it's true but where did the site talking about it get their information? How reputable is said information?

I remember that one. I read somewhere very very recentley that U2 don't do re-issues. I'll have to find out where I saw it

It was U2wanderer.org. I can't find the article again. What's to remaster about the Joshua Tree - and it takes them six months in between to release a new DVD, especially longer if it hasn't been previously released.

U2.com are always last to post info about forthcoming releases. Play.com and amazon etc had Popmart Mexico listed as a pre-order long before U2.com said a word. Rumour-semmi official-official then release is how it usually goes. I'd call this in between rumour and semi-official

I see no need for an anniversary edition. I'd like to have it but I don't think it's needed. (though I wouldn't say no to a proper quality Paris DVD)

That's only because Mexico POPmart was meant to be released on DVD in 1997 as well as video. They knew it was gonna happen, just a matter of time so they were getting ready. On the other hand, I'd love to see an official release of Red Rocks and the entire show on DVD. Why not? Surely this is one of their best shows that not many people have had the chance to see.

I've always wondered whats keeping that show. There was rumours of a box set floating about last year with Red Rocks included but I haven't heard about it since. Would be fantastic to see. There have been plenty of U2 releases as of late though so it will be a while yet before we hear of anything
