    There is not really another way, unless you want to go back trading 1st priority resources (cows, goats, camels). All other stuff (even gold) is just as much worth as people give to it.

    In that way paper isnt a worser choice than for example gold.


    I completely agree, I don't see alternative to the money, because money is alternative. But the thing is, these days there's no value behind the money because we left behind the gold standard.

    Fifty years ago you culd buy a car for about 800$ and today you can buy...bicycle.
  3. True, but relatively cars became cheaper Very little people could afford cars back then.

    Now their are new cars for 8000 euro's en bicycles for not much more than 120 euro's. And Holland is not the cheapest country.

    Maybe Bono should write a song about the revolution? He even owns a part of Facebook, one of the places that started it! I think it could be a great song!
