Why do you keep on whining about how backward everyone here is over at @u2 then?

    Cheers
    yeah

  2. Haha I just read through that; makes me proud to be a member of THIS site
  3. Nothing wrong with atu2 and their board. it's a great site and some nice people in their forums. Can't see why one should be proud to be a member here.
Let's not turn this in another site a vs site b topic.
  4. I think it's best for all concerned if this topic was closed...
Saves us a lot of bitching

    Fair play
  6. I won't be renewing my U2.com subscription and I've been a member since its inception.
As a fan, I'd prefer to be a member, but it's just not worth the fee. U2 really should be providing better value.
Duals was the final straw, a completely pointless release. Maybe the lads are testing our famous 'elasticity'! It's a shame, because the content on offer, freebies, etc. could be so much better. Luckily, fans have U2start which is great, especially the wonderful library of show bootlegs available. Excellent site and all for free. There's a lesson there. Not sure about the petition, but next time I see Bono, I'll have a word.

It's a lot easier to do those things with U2.com. Wasn't the Cape Town broadcast for South Africans only, except for that subscribers only thing.

  8. No it wasn't.
As far as I know, Spain, Ireland, France, United States, Canada, Italy and Germany are not in Africa, but people from those countries (and more) listened to the -free- KFM and Highveld internet broadcasts.

The source you're thinking of is the dstv source. That source was for Africans only, but my friend managed to get in it using a proxy, he told me about it, then I told half a dozen people here about it too. If you weren't a subscriber, you could use Kfm & Highveld.

    I didn't know about that.
