  3. Probably because based on other bands' official websites (the oft-cited Pearl Jam one comes to mind), they could offer SO MUCH more for their subscribers and entice non-subcribers to, well...subscribe!

    Because this petition is pointless. There's no point in telling the world how much U2.COM sucks. People already know that, and that's why most people don't subscribe

    you know what? we're too smart for that and the things we smoke are too good as to drop another comment on this topic. Freedom of mind.... everyone can chose their own way of what to think, to sign, not to sign, and above all to smoke leave them be and let'em say what they want. I'm waiting for another petition to come up: "Sign here to mark u2start as a forbidden place - they don't sign petitions."

    If you don't like it, don't renew, but if you renew just ask yourself why you do that, instead of complaining afterwards.

    So, to sum up the situation: someone started a petition for U2.com to offer better value for money. If you don't sign it you're called stupid and dumb. And if you respond to that, you're agressive.

    thats not what is happening at all rather instead of saying no thanks you guys torched the thread and made sweeping generalizations about it. Its that dick-headed approach that turns people off.
