1. Did you not see the South Africa thread at all? There was a huge discussion and set list party about it

  2. ?????

Then, I'm mystified why you care about what it does or if it improves.
  3. Probably because based on other bands' official websites (the oft-cited Pearl Jam one comes to mind), they could offer SO MUCH more for their subscribers and entice non-subcribers to, well...subscribe!

  4. I thought those free broadcast things didn't work
  5. Wow, you don't want to hear what @U2 is saying about us.

"Nobody there makes any sense" - Miami66

You don't know what you're talking about

"I don't know what people are smoking there, but it's got to be some pretty strong stuff" - gnmmet (Boycott Duels)

"What frustrated me was that at the same time as acknowledging that u2.com sucks, they seem to be content to make snide comments about how tired of petitions they are..." - JamietheEdgeFan

Because this petition is pointless. There's no point in telling the world how much U2.COM sucks. People already know that, and that's why most people don't subscribe

"Interference had relatively more support, and people who stated they wouldn't sign at least gave adequate answers as to why. U2start just seemed bizarre" - JamietheEdgeFan

I'm pretty sure the "if you're not happy, don't pay" agrument is an adequate answer

"its taking all of my will power not to go back on there and cuss them all out about how backwardsass their frame of mind is." - Miami66

    ?

"The argument "If you're not happy, don't pay" annoys me. Are we not within our rights to want better service for our money? And do they not realise that many of us already feel cheated out of our money? " - JamietheEdgeFan

If you felt "cheated out of your money" than that's your own damn fault!"

    Well, I always preferred U2Start.

you know what? we're too smart for that and the things we smoke are too good as to drop another comment on this topic. Freedom of mind.... everyone can chose their own way of what to think, to sign, not to sign, and above all to smoke leave them be and let'em say what they want. I'm waiting for another petition to come up: "Sign here to mark u2start as a forbidden place - they don't sign petitions."

  7. Dudes lets give it a rest. Sign the petition if you want, dont otherwise.

As yeah said, lets not turn this into a site battle.
  8. Nobody puts a gun against your head to become member of u2.com.
If you don't like it, don't renew, but if you renew just ask yourself why you do that, instead of complaining afterwards.
  9. Haha, I just read the @U2 forum on this topic. They're whining because we're not jumping up and down to sign the petition, and they think we're agressive. That made me laugh out loud

So, to sum up the situation: someone started a petition for U2.com to offer better value for money. If you don't sign it you're called stupid and dumb. And if you respond to that, you're agressive.

    Strange world, isn't it?

So, is this topic ready to be closed?

It's made me laugh out loud too. In what way have we been 'aggressive'?

Oh, so now it's a war between @u2 and u2start. Lovely.
  11. JR, no need to close the topic as long as everyone respects each other one's opinions and positions.

thats not what is happening at all rather instead of saying no thanks you guys torched the thread and made sweeping generalizations about it. Its that dick-headed approach that turns people off.
