OK, I understand that having the hardcore fans happy by playing Lady With The Spinning Head, Like A Song, Acrobat, One Tree Hill, Tomorrow, A Day Without Me, Please and Dirty Day in a row was not an option... But c'mon, lads, everyone has heard One, Bullet The Blue Sky, Elevation, Pride and WOWY over and over and over and over again throughout all this years...
you people are out of touch, sure everyone is entitled to their opinion but how many of you post your opinion just to post something rather than take a moment to think first. its not playing just the greatest hits that is important and exciting here, its playing them to the hilt...shine like stars/love will tare us apart, the goal is soul, coexist, creep and tons of snippets to create a feeling in the night. I won't be watcing it for me, as you said i've seen and heard it all before. But i will be watching for the guys - Bono, Adam, Larry and The Edge - to see what they can do, and also I don't believe any other bands greatest hits can have such a resonnance with a crowd(other than the stones but do the math - 3 original stones still tour, all 4 U2 members-its not even close), in a big venue its the hits of U2 that can reach every person, not just because they know of the songs but because its like those songs were made for moments like this...not songs like eletrical storm or window in the skies or acrobat or anything off pop...IMHO. Gosh i am sooooooo f-ing excited, thats it I'm calling it = This IS the most anticipated rock concert of the century(again anything under 16 songs will fall short for me)...I can't wait to find out if it will be the most talked about once it is over...and what will be said-can yyou imagine a few hundred thousand people just milling around for the next 2 days of the fest in shock of the U2 set-
- seriously can any other band in the world carry this much weight and still be able to not just deliver but potentially blow expectations out of the water! My favorite quote at the bottom of the site page "Live is where we live"-Larry
