  3. RED - good laugh, not much else really. Currently watching The West Wing, Season 7 - I cannot emphasis how much I love it.

    Have the box set of The West Wing but haven't yet mustered the desire to start it. I just finished the entire collection of Six Feet Under. Excellent viewing.

    I'd start now if I were you, there's a lot of watching to go around. Enough so that by the time you've finished, you genuinely can start straight over without feeling like you've repeated yourself. One of the best TV series ever created.

    It jst seems a lot of work.I might wait until I break a leg or something and i'm forced to remain in bed. Gonna try Treme next. Currently running on Sky Atlantic and from the dudes that brought us the godly Wire.
  8. the next three days...not bad, the pacing was a bit strange and never believed russel's character had a chance to pull it off. How is it there is not one great script somewhere in the world every year for the top actors of today like it was many years ago - denzel, russel, hanks, day lewis, leo... = all these guys should be able to find one excellent project a year, otherwise their just wasting theirs and everyone elses time to put out inferior product.
  9. The Adjustment Bureau. Very good chemistry with the leads and cracking plotting until the final 2 minutes, which are, IMO, totally unnecessary.

    @WojBhoy Couldn't agree more. Best series I've ever watched. Slight dip in series 5 after Aaron Sorkin left the only flaw. Series 1-3 are perfect.

  10. Excellent +++ I'd say. I used to watch it with my parents some time ago, we have the 3 first seasons in DVD and we used to watch a chapter every week. Excellent doses of laughs and good, intricate scripts. I recommend it to everyone.

    PS: I recommend it in original sub-titled version if possible. I used some scenes from 6 Feet Under in the English classes I gave in summer and my pupils loved it
  11. I watched Black Swan some days ago with my girlfriend. She's passionate about ballet since she was a small girl, Tchaikovsky is my favorite classical composer, and Natalie Portman is the favorite actress of both of us, so it was a perfect combination. Another vehement recommendation from my side

    'Tis a lot of work, granted, lot to follow but it's worth it. My mum got into it when she was diagnosed with chronic fatigue, but I got hooked during the summer break between 2nd year of uni. and this year, it's compelling stuff.

    I can't even bring myself to pick out any flaws - sometimes I get confused with this reality and the one where Jed Bartlett is actually president. Too quirky to think how the elections in Season 7 and 2008's Obama/McCain one paralleled.
