1. ESPN is having an online rock band bracket to coincide with March Madness. U2 is a #1 seed and is up against 63 other bands. Right now, they're pitted against Korn and seem to be wayyyyy out ahead (as they should be).

    Here's the link: http://sports.espn.go.com/espnradio/story?page=bracket/rockbands

Don't have to sign up at all to participate. Go vote and have fun! Could get very interesting as the field is narrowed down...
  2. funny ..no chance for Korn .. anyway if next round will be versus Clash it will be a little painful for me to vote
  3. I voted through the whole thing. Is there any way to download the bracket in, well, bracket form?
  4. I sat (rather I stood) through 60 minutes of Korn. The worst nu-headache I've ever had. Not to say I don't like metal but I didn't like Korn either.

Anyway - talk about some good choices. The Experience, The Doors, The Clash, U2, Aerosmith, AC/DC, Floyd, The White Stripes...so much good rock there.
  5. Round 3 and U2 is up against Aerosmith and is losing, 56% to 44%!!

It's too bad that people seem to vote in favor of anything against U2 just because Bono does more than just sing songs. I think we all know who should win that matchup and there's still time to get the right outcome, so get voting!!

In terms of other matchups, it looks like The Beatles are having/will have an easy go of things. Against Pearl Jam now and then either GNR or Van Halen--probably a cakewalk to the Final Four for them. Not too many surprises otherwise. The hardest pick for me in this round was The Rolling Stones vs. Queen. I ended up taking Queen because their songs are just more memorable and palatable for me.
  6. Voted
  7. me too. looks like it's all over. aerosmith????
  8. voted too .. it seems that the best won't win
