  1. Just wondering. I can find billions of threads here about how much everybody thinks that U2 Duals is contributing to the end of modern society as we know it, but I can't really tell if anybody actually has it yet. I renewed the day it was announced, and I don't have it yet. Can anybody post on this for me? I live near Orlando, FL in the US, and was just wondering. It is kind of sad that U2.com haven't been clear. I don't really have any true faith in their customer service, but was thinking of contacting them. Any info here would be appreciated, Thanks.
  2. Anything regarding or surrounding U2.com is excesively quick, so I would just wait. Medium and Unreleased took its time to arrive...

  4. Thanks for the replies. That was much easier than sorting through the pages and pages of the "U2 Duals Sucks" threads. As bad as U2's fanclub is, try being a Prince fan. He had an awesome fanclub from 2000-2005, and then he just turned into the nut job people expect him to be. He doesn't even have a website now, you just have to guess based on rumors online. U2 give you a lot of time to plan for concerts, and place the tickets on sale far in advance. I just got 10 days notice for Prince's tour near me, and so many fans can't go due to people having real lives, jobs, etc.

    So, despite my displeasure with U2.com, it is the greatest website ever, compared to what Prince fans have to put up with. Not to mention that a musician as brilliant as Prince has very few believers among the U2 faithful. If he had around U2's amount of albums instead of over 30, and had U2 type management, he would be more than just a borderline legend.
  5. I feel like I had Artificial Horizon by now? Maybe they are taking a little bit longer with Duals because of the negative reaction to it? The main page says it is coming though.

  7. There's a mail from U2.com today saying that "The first copies of 'U2 Duals' will begin shipping next week."....

    Prince's NPGMC was probably the greatest music website ever, not U2.com. But he has certainty let his fans down in the last few years. Remember Lotusflow3r.com? And U2 fans (@U2, I'm looking at you) think they have it bad!

    U2 have always been much better businessmen than Prince, but I wouldn't want Prince to only have 12 or so albums. Still, like Bono has said, the man needs an editor. The funny thing is, you're actually lucky to have 10 days notice.

I didn't get into the discussion with my real thoughts, as this is a U2 website, but I still wish Prince only had 12 official albums, but I also wish he had 5 box sets of outtakes with each one having 10 cds, you could have all the music he has created if you are a fanatic. He already has over 30 official albums, and I have over 30 cds of outtakes, not to mention the tons that have not leaked. Prince recorded more music from 1984 to 1987 than The Police and U2's entire careers combined.

    As far as the 10 days notice, one of the shows is in Greensboro, NC and they won't give will call as an option, so I had to say no to the 200 dollar tickets, when I am leaving in 4 days to go on the trip. I could have paid 20 extra for expedited shipping, but no promise I would get the tickets. With U2's fan club, I had great seats for the 3 shows from 2009, and the 6 I am going to this year. Wow!!! My best concert year ever at least 6 Prince shows, and 6 U2 shows.

    Many people have said that Prince needs an editor because it's true. Bono said it on the Bono On Bono book. Although, I still wouldn't want there to be only 12 Prince albums. If anything, U2 needs to pick up the pace, stop caring about the critics and just write good songs.
