I agree though, that 11 O'Clock was not the best choice...I think they should have gone with something new. I sort of like the idea of the house lights going out, the crowd getting pumped, and then with the band on stage, they slowly fade up again to "A Sort of Homecoming". It's the only other thing from that time period that was relatively untried that I think would have worked for them.

Probably for good reason then. I'm actually a big fan of them opening shows with songs from the album they're supporting (the biggest reason I hate BD right now)...and going through the album, it honestly seems like Pride is the most suitable choice. They really almost didn't have that option then though, you sort of HAVE to save that for later on when it's probably your second biggest hit (behind SBS, at the time anyway).
