to list a bootleg as the last time they blew you away i don't think flies here. They're an amazing band and just about any fan from casual to die hard can pull out a few shows at random and be blown away by something...so -
I saw them twice on 360 - amazing, but, they did not get to the level as the vertigo shows i caught in Los Angeles 4/5 and 11/2....4/5 was my first time on the floor for u2 and F-ing WOW! the 11/2 show was the setlist - check it out, WGRYWH (attempted) full version and to close with BAD, both songs i had never seen at a U2 show before! It was one song short(Mysterious Ways) from being my favorite U2 show ever, which still goes to zoo tv 8/29/92 New York(my first rock concert and it was that one!!!! it was like giving LSD to a 12 year old)
As for the studio stuff - it might go all the way back to ATYCLB, though I think HTDAAB is a better/stronger collection of songs, coming off of POP the band could have went in tons of different directions and most would have lost me, but to hear BD, then stuck, then elev, then walk on, then kite!?!?!?!? maybe it was my low or even lack of expectations but that album still gets more spins than any other U2 album except JT and AB in my home.
A couple of quick ones - the empire fulton ferry state park vertigo promo show and the irving hall plaza elevation tour promo show completely blew me away, seemingly every other USA TV/radio appearance falls well short of those shows in capturing the band in full flight....so the band have 2 more chances to blow me away this time around in 360, and also the most anticipated U2 moment since, hell maybe the release of the POP album, coming at Glastonbury... Has anyone set an OVER/UNDER on the amount of songs = a full show of 20+ or more like a promo show of around 14? - I set the number at 16 = anything over will suffice and every song over builds the moment up...if under 16 they will need to frickin NAIL every one or else it will feel like they didn't go all out - seriously, i know they are in the middle of a tour, but if playing this show means sooooo much to the band then how do they get out of there without playing at least 20 songs, take over the night play 2 hours take a 30 min break and come back and play another hour - people will love it! - do the hits 17/18 songs then leave to the ovation and the house lights never come on, people will be in a frenzy - then come back start with 1 more hit, then play 6 or 7 new/NLOTH songs then close with a couple monster hit sing a longs...go ahead U2 i dare you to blow me away.

ahhh the slain dvd, probably the best setlist ever and pretty much what the band need to do to pull off glast = dominate and celebrate!

this was the setlist from birmingham NEC 3rd august 1987, strange setlist but awesome quick rock songs after running. i was 17 and exhausted from jumping around after only 9 songs.

song for me was hearing mothers of the disappeared in istanbul 2010. never thought i would hear that live. crowd was not good but performance was excellent.

listened to all available bootlegs from that leg and i feel it is by far the best of 360...so far

That was indeed amazing!

Still remember at the end of Beautiful Day I was saying to myself Please play I Will Follow.
When they did my best friend and I just went crazy! Jumped through the entire song!!
