1. Rehearsals in Santiago got things stirred up a bit when people heard bits of "Miracle Drug" and "Even Better Than the Real Thing", and Bono announced a "surprise" for the Santiago show.

MD and EBTTRT turned out to be nothing- both reportedly rehearsed, but probably by the crew and neither extensively enough to make the setlist anytime soon. And the "surprise" was One Tree Hill with some guest singer. Nothing special at all.

Ah, I saw some tweets about that while I was in transit and was confused. I'm kind of over Bono's pronouncements about songs and "surprises".
  3. Is state TV using One Tree Hill as a kind of soundtrack to their programs from time to time awesome or what? Just heard it and right now I love Sweden

  4. Aw man, you missed the December 09' album. Sucks to be you right now.

  5. Beautiful.
  6. Anyone else getting a bit tired of the 360 tour? Not in the sense that you're getting annoyed of it or anything, just that you feel that it should've been over a while ago or something. The band isn't making any changes to the show at all (besides a few song changes) and I'm just starting to feel "enough is enough". But that's just me. I'm sure I'll be singing in a different tune in July when I get to see them.

Yes. If the actual US leg had happened summer 2010 and the Euro leg picking up as planned and the tour wrapping itself up now, I think it'd be better off. That lag in the middle sort of threw them off their game big time, I think. Tour hasn't been the same since, for better and for worse.

We've been talking a lot in a public policy class I'm taking about NASA failing to follow up their '69 mission to the moon with anything spectacular to keep the public interested, so funding dropped...I feel the exact same way about 360. It started strong and everyone loved it, by the Euro leg they made a bunch of huge changes and really revamped the show...and then did nothing to follow up their huge revival. It just sort of sank into normality again.
  8. They just need a final Euro leg to revive it again.. Then finish it

  9. I'm a little tired of them being on tour, honestly. They need to recycle. This is too long for them. I've been looking forward to these South American shows, and I'm very excited to finally see them again after waiting what will have been over a year for the show I was supposed to see- but it's not what it used to be.
  10. Matt, let me give you an advice: stop listening to bootlegs that often. Maybe reduce from 5 a week to maybe 1 or 2... It will help methinks
  11. Yeah good point Sergio Plenty o time to finish listening to the whole tour after a break dude
