1. Remixes? Pleaseeeee.. are you really listening to U2 itself or what
Maybe Stingray is not the best opener, but compare it to other openers..
Zoo Station, Streets, Elevation, Vertigo, City.. go on and on and people are talking about this shitty remix? Damn where did this go to...
  2. Yeah, they're generally pretty perfect and spot on, so they screw it up for like two legs and now we're getting all hot and bothered about it?

It irks me that they don't open with something better too, but in 4 minutes, the show goes on. Relax.

Seems we talked at cross-purposes then. The last time I felt blown away by U2 was when I heard that intro. It filled me with excitement and positive feelings, I was full of joy and everything. That is what I meant with "blown away". Song/performance-wise it was Bad in Rome for personal reasons.

Be a little more critical as fan and be honest

South Africa 2011 had what was possibly there worst concert intro.
  5. When they played electrical storm LIVE
I was listening to a live feed, and was like... WTF is that, holy shit, that's Electrical Storm. One of the guys in the office thought I had a stroke.

  6. Oh, how over-exaggerated is that one sentence. I can think of worse.

Starting with With a Shout is the worst, and they did that once. At Slane Castle in 1981 supporting Thin Lizzy. Awful opener.
  7. And opening with Stand By Me and/or Cmon Everybody in 87 when they had the option of Streets was MIND-BOGGLINGLY bad.

  8. Yeah, that too. Starting with a cover when your other option is Where The Streets Have No Name? Bad decision, to be honest.

I shall rephrase for you, Kieran:

"Starting with ______________ when your other option is Where the Streets Have No Name? Bad decision, to be honest."

Fill in the blank with anything your heart desires

    Probably should've said that...

But I'll rephrase what I said at the end "One of the worst decisions U2 have made"
  11. Probably when I saw them 2 years ago in concert!

i saw 3 joshua tree gigs and only heard streets once!!!!. they started cardiff with stand by me and it went down a storm. personally back then i don't think they knew the power of streets. i didn't hear streets until my 3rd show at the NEC, (now the lg arena). the side stand was literally rocking as everyone jumped.
