    +1!
    Wish they would play a set like this!!
  2. I'd love to see this on 360 Trying to keep it a somewhat 360 2010 set. Not entirely satisfied, but it's something Would also be cool if they'd use Streets as opener from time to time

    4. Get on Your Boots
    5. Magnificent

    I think many of us would agree that the rotation thing you've got going on here is what is lacking in a U2 show. For those individuals who don't follow U2 as closely as us, they don;t care and the lack of rotation doesn't bother me when I attend an actual show. However, as someone who like to listen there shows (as well as build compilations of them) changing up moer than a couple slots each night would be awesome. I also appreciate how you kept the essential tracks (the big/first three from JT, One, BD, and Vertigo) as they are essential to a U2 show - for most of the crowd anyway. I just think we need to see EBTTRT in one of your sets.
  4. Best 360 set. Yes, that's right Like A Song. I fcuked with Zooropa.

    Video Intro:

    i. Space Oddity [David Bowie not U2]
    ii. Soon
    iii. Fez [with vocal snippets of Get On Your Boots (let me in the sound, future needs a big kiss, get on your boots), Zooropa (what do you want?), Discotheque (you can reach but you can't grab it), Mofo (distorted Edge vocals), Even Better Than The Real Thing (take me higher) also includes the backing for the 1st half of Zooropa and the sent in questions]. Ends with first line of No Line On The Horizon looped. ---->

    1. No Line On The Horizon [A jam based on Return Of The Stingray Guitar live performances] -->
    2. Magnificent

    6. Even Better Than The Real Thing
    7. Your Blue Room [Slightly shortened, Edge sings the hard parts] -->
    8. Miss Sarajevo [Shortened to only the opera part] -->
    9. In A Little While [Shortened to only the spoken astronaut part, using the Miss Sarajevo piano backing]

    11. Mysterious Ways [extended version like back in the day]
    12. New Year's Day [the whole song]

    17. The Electric Co -->
    18. Sunday Bloody Sunday -->
    19. Walk On
    20. All I Want Is You [Mothers Of The Disappeared in South America instead]

    25. Please -->

    Potty break

    And too many "shortened to"s in the set...it's a concert, not a 2 hour remix.
  6. .

    It's not a 2 hour remix, it's a brand new experience. A concert shouldn't have all the songs played in the same way as the record imo.
  7. I would be hard pressed to name ONE U2 song that is performed live the exact same way it is on the album. And you can test me; I doubt that they've ever just taken a song and done it textbook-album-version.

    They've done that loads of times in the past. I Will Follow and Beautiful Day are a few examples. Of course it doesn't quite sound the same because it's live.
  9. As in same way I meant arrangement and length.
  10. Fair enough, you've got me with I Will Follow.

    Beautiful Day has pretty much always been different, though, with the "Goal is Soul" lines on the Elevation tour (and occasionally on Vertigo), and a completely new intro on 360. Also, the song hasn't been without snippets really since 2005.

    My point is that they don't have the types of songs that merit just going out and straight-playing live (IWF being that exception, good call)...they almost beg to be messed with and changed up, even just minutely, and that alone creates a different experience.

    Yes, but Beautiful Day still has the same general arrangement, not counting 2009 360 gigs. The half fake Edge vocals are there everytime.

  12. True. Those two songs are pretty unchanged live. You've got me there. I'm just saying the majority of the other ones get little differences thrown in the live ones all the time, so I don't personally see the need to change up an entire show like that just "to make the experience different". Though if you disagree, you disagree. Nothing more than that.
