True. Those two songs are pretty unchanged live. You've got me there. I'm just saying the majority of the other ones get little differences thrown in the live ones all the time, so I don't personally see the need to change up an entire show like that just "to make the experience different". Though if you disagree, you disagree. Nothing more than that.

You don't need to change the entire show, like I did. I just was daydream in class yesterday about what would be the best possible 360 show. I think it would be better if they show what The Claw can do at the beginning and near end of the concert, instead of the middle.

If I may jump in..unlike, say, Radiohead, who are very "tight" live and bring their studio versions to the stage, U2 plays it very loose thus giving each performance a different feel from tour to tour or even night to night. Both bands are great live but for different reasons.

I'd enjoy this one - immensely...obviously, Kite and Miracle Drug are a bit of a stretch.
Just need to add something from R&H.

Just replace Walk On with All I Want is You. Done.
  7. i put Kite and Miracle drug just to keep trace of those albums and don't want to be too much oldish .. not meaning i don't like them .. they're very good songs.
Who's gonna ride could be in Miracle drug place
All i want is you instead of Walk on would be perfect i know but .. i don't know if it works so good as mainset closer and again to keep trace of those albums
Pride in a U2 "perfect" setlist is a must and now that i read again Bullet the blue sky should be too

i was just thinking of Gone instead of Mysterious ways

    EDIT
Kite --> Running to stand still
but i don' t want to go too much far from the actual setlist
  8. Yes, there is a difference between my "perfect" setlist and a "realistically great" setlist. The former would have nothing post-POP, possibly even post-Zooropa. I do like Beautiful Day and Walk On and think songs like Vertigo and Elevation are awesome live, but none of them make it into my top 25.

My perfect setlist would be very similar to a 1992 Zoo TV show (minus say, TTTYAATW and Satelite of Love - and definitely NO When Love Comes To Town) with the ensurance that songs like I Will Follow, New Year's Day, Sunday Bloody Sunday and All I Want Is You are included. Toss in The Unforgettable Fire, One Tree Hill, Lemon, Stay, and at least one of Gloria/Out of Control/Electric Co. and I'm a happy man.

  9. some Pop is good at the purpose anyway
and absolutely agree about When love comes to town
  10. This topic is about perfect/dreamt setlists, not about realistic setlists
