Tour: U2 360° Tour
Songs played: 25
Audio recordings: 1
Videos: 1

  1. Check out this video!
  2. Good video. Gotta love the ultra-enthusiastic girl besides the camera

    I reaffirm my previous statements:

1 - Everything goes perfect and the energy rises... until the vocals come in. It's not an easy song to sing along, and it should be bumped up one or two tones, in order to make it easier for Bono and the audience.
2 - The new arrangement is nice for a disco, but doesn't work so much in a stadium. I love the full stops and the reignitions later, though.
3 - The light show is absolutely awesome and it's exactly how every 360 concert should have started (whatever the opener song was).

    wich videos??..
  4. i'm still in shock they so much as rehearsed zooropa, if they play that i'll never moan about a setlist again. ever.
  5. ''You take me higher, you take us higher ''
Im so happy that they brought this song back, it still makes me jump around when I hear it
  6. Nominated for most boring proshot of the year:

  7. That's pretty pathetic indeed, where's the crowd?!? I have seem some pretty bad camera and directing work in my life, but this easily makes top 10.
  8. Not much else can be done with only 2 or 3 cameras. Footage probably handed over to local TV who wanted to broadcast it on the evening or morning news.
  9. HI guys

    How have you been?

Before I left home right to the stadium, I'll post my thoughts about the first night

First of all, I have to say the The Claw fits very well in Morumbi Stadium. It's a open and circular stadium and it really looks like a pad to the claw.

People really enjoyed Muse show, and I have to say they sound better live than in studio versions, but still don't make my taste. They're too noisy for me in some moments. Anyway, it was a great way to start a beautiful night.

Before the show starts, they played the most well known São Paulo samba. Every single person in the stadium sung and love this. After this, Space Odity came and people started going nuts.

I was at the higher part of the stadium, so I could see people' reaction around the stadium. Some of them didn't know the lyrics or even the song, but I could say EBTTRT is the best opener of the tour so far. It's really powerfull and those lights and Edge's riffs make people lift off.

After this, one of the best parts of the show and one of the best audiences I've ever seen. To be honest, never saw this kind of reaction in I Will Follow. Every single person there was jumping and screaming. No words to describe peoples reaction...Just an explosion of energy and jumps....I could feel the stadium shaking during the hole song

The segue EBTTRT, I Will Follow and Boots works very well in my opinon. It's a rocky way to start a rock show, and I don't like Boots that much, but it really gaves a nice energy when played for this size of audience.

And how about Magnificent.... It's one of my favorite songs of all time, but wow...What a great performance, even with some mistakes by Edge (they occoured during every night, by the way, but they were almost undetected). Bono started saying names of Brazilian States, and when Edge started playing the first powerfull chord of the song, all the GA guys started to jump and scream. It's really hard to find this kind of reaction during Magnificent. Really great

ABout the next songs, Brazilian people love Mysterious Ways and Elevation. Singing out loud and clear with Bono, and jumping like crazy during Elevation. It's one of that songs that has to be played here in Brazil. The audience transmited message to the band....Edge started jumping with the crawd and Bono played with us in the "uuuuUuuuu" parts before the song started. Really nice.

I saw some people just watching at the begging of UTEOTW, but it's hard to resist when Edge and Bono started playing with each other at the end of the song. People went nuts with those bridges coming close to eachother.

I Still Haven't Found is one of the best parts of every show. Bono introduced the band as kind of pizzas, since Sao Paulo is know as "pizza land". Really nice and funny....People loved! And during the song, we could here every person in the stadium singing out loud. Even bono stopped singing and started looking to the fans with a face of pleasure. I could feel the energy and the vibrations there. I Still Haven't Found is a moment when people are talking with God, or they're been touched by Him. Amazing

After a Happy B-Day for J. Lennon, Stuck In A Moment...Well, I won't lie...Brazilian people love that song too. Sung every single part and it was a nice performance after all.

Before Beautiful Day, Bono took a girl to the stage. She read a very beautiful and well know Brazilian poem for Bono. It talks about love and happiness...It was really a great moment and a perfect introduction to the song.

During In A Little While and Miss Sarajevo, people just were there looking to the band and to the images at the scream. It looked like they knew it was a time for reflection. They left Bono singing and received the messages.

The Fez-Question segment is absolutely fantastic You have to be there to feel this incredible mix of feelings...I was kind of sad because we didn't have Zooropa, but City Of Blinding Lights came in and made one of the best reactions of the audience. City is one of the favorite songs here. There are lots of people that put City at the top-3 songs so you can imagine the audience reaction...Very loud and people jumping and putting their arms in the air during the "Oh You Look So Beautiful...Tonight" part.

Nothing to say about Vertigo....You just have to look for some video and see

Crazy Remix was OK....I was expecting people jumping like crazy during the song, but the biggest part didn't know about this remix and started watching this big revolution with "what is that cool thing?" faces.

The hole stadium sung during Sunday, Wlak On and One, and Bono loved when people started to shout Rejoooooice with him during Scarlet.

And then, one of the highlights of the night...Streets! What a great performance! Thousands of yellow and green balloons and people singing and jumping during all the song The 4 guys loved the energy, the balloons and the public reaction. You can see Bono's face at the end of the song. He was like "Oh, what just happend here?"...A big smile came from him and from the boys! It was lovely

People enjoyed Batman and With Or Without was great. Again, people singing the entire song with Bono, and WoWY is one of the songs people really were waiting for. After the end of the song, people continued singing the "oooOOOooooOOOO" part, and Bono was speachless....till he started speching

One of the biggest emotion moments ever...My body started shaking when Bono started to talk about the kids killed in the Rio de Janeiro school and the kids names appeared in the scream. I saw a lof of people singing and clapping their hands. Very beautiful and emotional.

After MoS came to the end, people continued singing the "oooo ooooo OOOO ooo OOO ooo" part of the song. Bono and the rest of the Band were specahless again, and they took long 5 minutes to get off the stage. They were just there watching this beatiful demosntration of love for the band...Amazing to see our 4 guys getting touched by the audience. It was the perfect ending, and I hope to see something similar in a few hours.

I try to post my pics here latter. I won't take my big and good camera to the stadium today since I got GA tickes, but I'll try to register something with my small camera.

    Going to the stadium now

  10. I disagree, like Andrew said there is seriously lack of crowd.

Just give Matt a full hd camera and it will give 100% more atmosphere. Also the claw from the field looks much more impressive than from these angles.

1 cam for close on the band and one to show the stage. For news reel stuff it's fine. If it was a full pro-shot it would get a little annoying but for intended purposes. . .it's sufficient.
  12. thanks for the review Aidan!
    Enjoy Zooropa tonight!
