I don't think the band get nostalgiac about anything that they've done in their career. The only time I've witnessed something remotely close to that is when Edge and Adam shake hands after An Cat Dubh from the Chicago Vertigo concert. Other than that, it's all about the future.

I had noticed that too. I love that moment, although I would never have called it "nostalgic".

  3. It's hard to guess what might've been going through their heads at that moment, or during any Boy song. Maybe they just did it for the movie? Maybe there was a genuine feeling of "Man, we've been together for over 20 years and that song we just played proves it".

Who knows, either way, it's a cool moment that tends to put a smile on my face.
  4. The future? Other than that total turkey remix of I'll Go Crazy, no other Horizon song has been played at every single 360 show.(Well, Crazy is not really on No Line in this form...unless you count the Remix Album or the Vinyl EP) Possibly Boots has been played at every 360 gig, but they even dropped Magnificent the other night. Is there somebody in U2 who really thinks that the Remix of Crazy is some career defining moment?

Since Bono's back got better, the shows have been all about the past. Even Mercy, Every Breaking Wave, and North Star have all been around since at least 2004, so this tour is not about the future. It is kind of sad to leave Breathe out to dry, and very sad that they once ahd faith in Horizon as an album. Personally, I think it ranks around 8th or 9th for their released albums, more so because the others are so good, not that Horizon is that bad...I wish they believed in it enough to give us 6 songs a night from it. Thank God I got to go to the USA leg in 2009.

It seems like the only thing you can count on in a U2 show is that they will play I'll Go Crazy If I don't keep playing this in our Set List Tonight.

Well, I can pray that they keep Zooropa in the set...but they will have tired of it by the time they get to the states, but Crazy will still be there...

If you have assigned seating, them playing "Crazy Tonight" gives you a great opportunity to get a beer... go to the washroom... meet a nice girl/guy...buy a t-shirt...

Too bad they didn't play it last and then you could leave and beat the traffic.
  6. I dont know about you all, but I dont mind Crazy remix. The first European leg I really loved it and the second European leg with the Discotheque snippet was great too. There are songs in the setlist which I rather wish they dropped.
  7. Crazy Tonight remix is awesome
