  2. All of their past concert videos contained setlists that were a general representation of the setlists throughout the tour. The concerts before and after the ones filmed usually had similar setlists. Also, things that were considered "surprises" were omitted. For example, the DVD of their Vertigo tour performance in Chicago did not include Party Girl even though it was performed during both of the concerts they filmed. Additionally, they have never released multiple full concert DVDs in the same tour, with the only exception being their Elevation Tour where they released the Slane Castle concerts on DVD. The Vertigo Tour technically did have two concert DVDs, but the Milan concert wasn't complete.

I don't think there will be a DVD for the Brazil shows, and if there is one I would be extremely surprised. The first concert was business as usual (well, as usual as a U2 gig can possibly be), but the second concert was completely off the charts. I think the third concert will be just as surprising, which unfortunately means that they won't film it. Even though the second concert showed the band at its best, the songs that made their tour debut gave it the possibility of it not working out so well.

The good news is that Out Of Control was played without any soundchecks, unless they soundchecked it the day of the concert. They literally brought it up out of nowhere, meaning that the band has the capabilities to pull off a stunt like that (we all knew they could, but this is concrete proof). This completely blows open the door for just about any song to be performed ad lib during a concert, so long as it does not require any complex visual or audio effects.

I think they're going to play Zooropa every night and a I Will Follow / Out Of Control rotation every night. So it might seem surprising now, but not by the end of the tour.
  4. Hi people

Macphisto has sent me the recordings of Sao Paulo 1 and 2... According to his own words, "They're not that good as the other ones. Much more screaming and close/loud people. It's all a bit crazy here". Nonetheless, I've downloaded them both and they're more than listenable. Particullary Zoroopa and North Star from the 2nd night sound very good, since most people didn't know them and therefore they sound cristal clear!! And having the first full Zooropa performance ever is more than worth So I'm going to start the work on both shows, I plan to have them both uploaded during the morning. I obviously will focus on the second night, you can expect that one to be uploaded in less than 2 hours
  5. Awesome!
  6. Did anyone read those reaction on the Zooropa movie from U2gigs on Youtube?
There are 2 people who disliked the video and one of the reactions says:

''2 girls who wanted to be picked by Bono during In a Little While watched this video''

    Haha

  7. The Slane Castle concerts happened during the 2000-2007 time frame. Even with Zooropa, nothing on the 360 tour has blown me away like the performances of UTEOTW, Kite, and Streets from that DVD as of now.

    w00h00!!!!
  9. MacPhisto has been finding some trouble with his internet connection in Brazil, and therefore the files he uploads suffer from some corruption due to connection timeouts and the stuff. His recording of the 1st night has been succesfully (and fully) uploaded but the recording from the 2nd night was corrupt from the end of the Desmond Tutu speech on; that's why I uploaded now the first part. I will add the second part when he fixes (e.g. reuplaods) the show and I'm able to grab it in full.

For the moment, just enjoy the first part of the 2nd Brazil show. It obviously includes Out Of Control and Zooropa, and that's why I'm sharing it before the full show is uploaded - this is the most interesting part of the show, and the file that will probably will be downloaded the most.

  10. listening to part 1, quality is great, i like noisy crowd bootlegs

  11. Don't like the sound of that. Was not a big fan of the overpowering sound of the audience on the La Plata 1 bootleg and the U2Gigs videos.
