    No, I think they'll continue what they're doing.

    After the Rose Bowl dvd came out, I recall Edge saying "We can't just do the same things on this tour after the release of that show, people have already seen the show (after watchint the dvd). Things are going to be changed".

    Now, it's taken a little longer for things to get really moving in terms of changes (the Europe leg in 2010 was essentially the same show) but now I think this tour is where it should have been going since the release of that dvd, and it IS a different show now.

    I think they'll keep it different, simply because it's another (sort of) official release and they'll want to come across as varied, not boring.

    I recall someone saying that it was Larry who suggested bringing EBTTRT back and using it as an opener, although I can't point you to where it was I came across that. As for Zooropa, I've got this vision of the guys being in a rehearsal studio, and Edge happens across the patch/effect for the song, and the four all look at each other and go 'hang on a second... '

    Or something like that. Adam said that Pop was based on his musical style, he should push for more of that to come out of the woodwork! Discotheque on that stage would be obscenely amazing...
  4. I just remembered something. If anyone can remember nearly 2 months back, the Johannesburg concert was approaching and there was a soundcheck the day before. Zooropa and EBTTRT were apparently in it. There was a 50 second audio clip of Zooropa and people thought it was fake. I actually thought it was fairly legit. It must have been real then. I was the only one that believed that it was real, and look, 2 months later, they played it. The boys must have had real thoughts of playing it for a long time, maybe since Australia?
  5. you guys should really read willie wiliams road diary .... often he is the one that suggests new songs to be tried out ... and yes .. sometimes its the band themselves ... like for this one .. it was larry ....

    Willie plants many seeds. Drowning Man and Mercy most likely came about after he badgered on about it.

    PS. First show will be up-ed later this evening. Anyone fancies doing a cover for it? Thanks in advance

    But then again...I wonder if the band actually reads those "which song should the band add to the setlist"-questions on u2.com. I think theyactually do (or Willie does) coz we got Batman which was requested a lot if I remember correctly.
