  2. Ok. Ive read through 6 pages but didnt find my answer, and didnt want to go through another 9

    I have an awesome early soundcheck taped in Hattem, Netherlands in 1982 - U2 is actually rehearsing NYD whilst the song was not recorded yet.

    The taper is unknown and I didnt get this in a trade, I found this on another torrent site.

    Is it ok to share here?

  3. It's considered nice to check with the original uploader on the other site to check if they are cool with you uploading elsewhere.

    Failing that, if the info file contains no sharing restrictions then yea you can upload it.

    Sounds good to me. I will check with the original uploader then. The info file contains no restrictions, but I will check anyway.
  5. A soundchek of NYD dating from May 82? Sounds quite suspicious to me.
  8. New Years Day was released in January 83, so why couldnt they have rehearsed it in May 82? It wasnt part of the War Tour set list until December 1982.

    Dont see the suspicion. Check wiki for more details.

    That is. We don't have any proof that any War tracks were rehearsed or even thought before October 1982, so why should I believe that's a real May 82 soundcheck? If they had started rehearsing NYD in May, they woulnd't have waited until December to play it... would they?
  10. You can hear the song is not even finished, its a 35 second snippet, this is from the info file: New Year's Day (instrumental, in progress).

    It was uploaded on another torrent site where they loved it. Make accusations all you want, I have no reason to believe this souncheck is not what is says it is.

    This is the last time Another Time, Another Place has ever been performed live. Another Time, Another Place is on that souncheck. So it could not have been from a later date. Only earlier.
