Impossible for me to list just one so my list of 'favourites' fluctuates from time to time. They generally include Running To Stand Still, With or Without You, God Part II, Hawkmoon 269, Mysterious Ways, Gone, One, The First Time, Bad, Until The End of The World, Original of the Species.... OK, I'll stop now...I think you all get the picture!
Wouldn't this make a great poll question or better yet, a series of poll questions??? The battle to be called the best U2 song....I'd LOVE to see that!
You could ask favorite song from each album and than one big poll for b-sides in a different poll, which would be your first round.
Then you could take the top 3 or 4 songs from there and pit those against all the rest of the songs from that decade.
You could take from there the top 3 songs from each decade and pit those against eachother and you could get your winner from there or have one more round.
Having a very hard time trying to choose between Ultra Violet and With or Without You.
Both songs express love in two different ways, Edge's guitar-work is fantastic, no, I can't decide.
Right now my "top four" is the four last songs from the Dublin Zoo TV show. Ultra Violet+With ot Without You+Love is Blindess+Can't help falling in love with you. They work so well together.
Love Is Blindness now is, for a few months, since the ZooTV DVD release. And I think it'll be up there for a few more months, Bad was my previous number one for more than a year.

I must say that I don't dislike any U2 song, 'cause in everyone there is something that excite me!
But the song that will never leave my heart is "I still haven't found what I'm looking for", the album version of course!
