Larry didn't learn other songs since 1992, did he?
uhm that's why Bono mentioned Ronaldo during the show .. and why he had weak voice (if it happened before the show )
Once again, I had an amazing time last night. Got inner circle for the first time in my life
Being so close to the band....Almost touch the guys...It's amazing, and I'm sure many of you already did something like this.
I couldn't find Johnny since he arrived early in the morning, and there were lots o people there, but I'm sure he had a great time too.
About the show, Bono's voice was really bad at some moments, as you already noticed. He went to parties and bars during the week and maybe that was the reason.
Yesterday, I saw the biggest recepion for Even Better...People participated a lot in the saturday and sunday shows, but they really got the spirit yesterday. It was really rocky and massive
I Will Follow and Boot also received lots of jumps from the crowd, as usual, and Magnificent seems to be the favorite NLOTH song here. Really nice!
I was in the left part of the inner circle, and I choose thos side becuase Edge is a God. Be there and see he playing through the hole night is amazing. Those Magnificent chord hit me as a hummer...I was shocked....It's so f* good to see he's playing right in front of you and felt that huge energy the he and his guitars have.
Nice performance of Mysterious Ways and Elevation kept with the tradition of being a favorite song by many people here. Really great performance from band and public.
During UTEOTW, those bridges started moving and Edge played almost the hole song above me. I almost could touch it, and I have to say one thing: He played biggest part of the solo with his eyes closed.
Then, once again, one of the most magical moments of the night. Before I Still Haven't Found, a great speach came from Bono talking about our audiences. It was lovely, even if I don't like some people giving a great "Booo" when he said Argentina. Great performance since Bono didn't have to sing biggest part of this song. Being there inside the circle, with the hole Claw above me and feeling that energy was amazing. It really looked like the Claw was a tube going direct to the heaven
I have to say I was kind of disappointed beacause I really expected to see Bad, but it's hard to have bad feeling during an U2 concert. When Larry started the first beats of Pride people went nuts again. It almost a perfetc song for big gigs like this one.
Then Bono had some trouble to say Seu Jorge's name. It was funny. I have to say that I'd prefer listen to an U2 song, but it was anice thing they've done. It was really different from everytihng I got use to listen during an U2 concert.
Nice performance of Beautiful Day, even with Bono's voice going to a unknown place
During Miss Sarajevo, it was lovely to see Bono singing right on front of me on that bridge. I could see his expressions, his face and his effort to find someway to sing that song. He almost couldn't do it, and his performance was far away from Sunday's one, but seeing B-man so close made the song work for me.
After MS, the moment of the night. Zooropa in all its glory Almost perfect, with no mistakes, good rhythim... and those base lines coming from Adam gave goosebumps Also got impressed with Edge's guitar....So perfect!
I must say that Zooropa became one of my favorite songs. I always love it, but it's even better now after see what they did with this song. Brilliant
City got a nice audience reception again.
Before vertigo, Bono called a little boy into stage and told him to run around the circle. The boy started run like crazy and people got in the mood with those Vertigo sirens. Bono counted and I saw the biggest reaction to Vertigo ever. Bono lost his voice but people didn't care about it.
During Crazy Remix, as usually, I spent the hole song jumping. I really love the way this song grows up and end in a spetacullar way, but I guess biggest parto of people don't think like me. Larry walked right in fron of me smiling and then Adam came and stoped right over there. He started looking to that crazy guy jumping in the middle of lots of cameras. He was there, looking at me, and I was there jumping like crazy. I'm almost crying in happiness right now...It's hard to believe in what happened last night and during the last days.
Great crowd performance again in Sunday Bloody Sunday and really good vibrations in the house during Scarlet. Bono asked us to sing more, and the hole stadium gave him 4 big "Rejoices". Lovely!
Walk On was ok since it isn't a rocky song, so we could notice a happy and tired Bono. Still great to feel band's and peoples energy during the song.
For the third time, huge participation of the audience during one, and then Bono came with All I Want Is You snippet (yet, it is a snippet ). It was lovely...Nobody wasn't expecting this, and people started singing almost imidiately. One of the best moments of teh night for sure!
Streets came and started growing up in a beautiful way after AIWIY. Best intro for Streets during the 3 shows. The ballons once again started to fly and Band got extremely excited. See them playing Streets so close to you is a unique experience I must say, even if that Streets from Sunday show was the time of my life.
Batman was great again. I prefer Ultra Violet, but I can say that 80% of people here would choose Batman. I agree is a more powerfull song and it's an awesome way to start the last encore. Edge's guitar once again gave me goosebumps and Bono almost got hit by his microphone after he threw it away.
With Or Without came and Bono didn't had any voice But once again he didn't had to have...People started singing in a beautiful way. It was like our last goodbye to the band. I started looking to the hole stadium and those beautiful blue lights during WoWY. Lovely! People were screaming and singing from their hearts, and kept singing the "ooooOOOoooOOO" part after the song came to an end.
Bono once again said he was very thank full and talked about the kids from Rio.
I didn't use to like moment of Surrnder as a closer, and I still perefer 40, but after these 3 shows, I completely change my mind, specially with the homanages they were doing and the cellphones stuff. Almost cryed during the song, since I knew it was the last song performed here in years.
Before I left the stadium alone, I stoped and looked to the Claw for the last time here in Brazil. It was a perfect week. The Claw was built for stadiums and public like we have, and I'll really miss those days.
Bands performance and energy were perfect. Audiences performance and energy were perfect. Both give to each other their best, and even more than it.
There's no word to describle how alive I felt, how greatfull I am and how happy I'll always be.
To finish my long text, the sunday night was the better one. Not because I had the time of my life, but in general, we gave and received 200% from the band, from the crowd and from the "surprise elements".
I know for a fact that the lighting was better on Sunday. I like how they kept some of the big flashes, but the screens went black for the "And I have no compass" part.
But I think the second performance was better. The band was more confident with it.
Even better than the real thing
