1. ^ those verve and soundgarden albums are crazy good.

"velvet morning" and "like suicide" are two of my favourite songs, respectively.

In my opinion, One Day is one of the best ballads I've ever heard. And Lucky Man, Bittersweet Symphony, Drugs Don't Work and Space and Time are gorgeous. What a tremendous album..

  3. that's my album of the day
  4. yeah Superunknown sounds really great and i really love Chris Cornell there .. it's a pretty long album but it has no "dead" moments

Urban hymns is fantastic, Richard Ashcroft an awesome songwriter .. don't forget Sonnet too
  5. ^ definitely. Ashcroft's an incredibly underrated songwriter.

  6. one of my favorite albums!!! gets a regular listen... these guys are SOOOOOOOO underated!! amazing band

  7. Explosions in the Sky - The Earth is Not a Cold Dead Place

The only album I have ever listened to that I can say there is absolutely nothing wrong with, U2 included. Perfect album, just perfect. Their new one is fantastic as well.
  8. Today's album is Great Barrier Grief by Melbourne band Oh Mercy.

These guys are great live and this is quite a good album, possibly not as good as their debut, but still worth a listen. It's a collection of nice, chilled-out ballads, so if that's your speed give it a go.
