1. how does one manage to get a hold of a soundboard recording?
i know it may seem like a silly question, but i can't really understand how someone gets one

i mean, i know you have to be connected or something, but still how does someone manage to get someone they know to get the recordings off of the soundboard and in a sense, steal from the artist/a band etc?

    cheers
  2. I guess it's all about having the right contacts or being a crew member
  3. Sometimes sound mixing guys leak the soundboard recording out. I don't know if this happens to U2 though.

  4. it must if there are soundboard recordings of u2 concerts circulating - which there is?
  5. Please don't leave the topic titles incomplete, it's a pain in the arse.
I left the "how's like like" unedited since it was funny the way it was, but this title "how do you get a." is so useless. I have edited it, please don't do it, it's so useless. Contrary as most people think, it doesn't drag more attention to your topic, and on the other hand makes it harder to search, find, etc.

well most people just ignore stuff i post so i need to try and get someone to answer my questions in someway don't i?
  7. Some have used audio listening devices or in-ear monitor systems to record shows. Those are receiving sound from the soundboard. That is what most are attributing to 'soundboard' recordings.

Most bands do not allow fans to plug recorders into their soundboards, although I've read that Dave Matthews Band use to do so in the early days. And with confidentiality agreements and the legal ramifications, most sound crews are not giving out/leaking recordings.

    the lovetown shows in dublin?
    cleveland in 01?

how do you think people got a hold of those?
i really have no idea how they came to get out

Then stop opening a topic for every whimsical thought that crosses your mind and contain them in topics that already exist.
