One might compare this to the Sarajevo recording from the Popmart tour...excellent recording but the songs where Bono's voice is not holding its own get a bit frustrating and might keep one from repeated listenings of the show. Still, I love listening to "Even Better Than The Real Thing" and "Zooropa." Citing another thread, I can't wait to make a 360 tour compilation. I just won't do it until it's officially over.
  3. IMO, Bono's voice was a lot better on Sao Paulo's 1st night. Than, it seems it was getting worse (tired?) on 2nd, and then 3rd night.

    Also, The sheffield radio broadcast is way way better then Sao Paulo, with band's performance, bono and setlist nailing it!

  5. I have not uploaded this remaster in flac. In my opinion the primary source is lossy so it would only lead to confusion to upload it in flac. Besides that, I have not splitted the file in seperate tracks. Maybe if someone can give me good arguments to make this remaster availlable in flacs, I will consider doing so.

    Perhaps one argument may be that the "fm-broadcast" is considered as lossless while in fact it is not (because the radiostation did not broadcast in 44,1 kHz - in fact they broadcasted a mp3-like stream that had been passing first through a bunch of limiters and compressors!). When one would make a frequency / spectrum analysis of the broadcast, it will become obvious that the "fm-broadcast" is lossy.

    But who listens to a girl when it involves 'technological' issues...?

  6. Yep. If the original source is lossy (like this one is), it means it will never become lossles, no matters what you do. Don't do it, BigGirl, there's no need. Your remaster is perfectly OK the way it is - don't bother adding confussion with a false lossless release
  7. I think that your remastered version is the best so far. I don't know that the priamary source is lossy.
    So I think that does not have meanig to convert this to flac version.
